Institute for Psychogametous Life // POLLINARIUM PR

These documents written by Zoetica Ebb with annotations by Kenji Siratori are part of a whole. Start here.Ebb’s exhibition, Aberrant Plexus, opens at Metamorphika Studio in London on November 20th. [CLASSIFIED – CLEARANCE GAMMA REQUIRED]
INSTITUTE FOR PSYCHOGAMETOUS LIFE
DIRECTIVE TO PUBLIC INTERFACE BUREAU – POLLINARIUM REDEPLOYMENT
Filed by: Directorate, IPGL
Ref: Δ-MC7 / Lab C Status / Aberrant Plexus Division
Distribution: Public Interface Bureau (PR/Comms); Directorate Oversight

Subject:Messaging & Public Materials for Sensory Pollinarium (Revised Deployment)

Following the Directorate’s approval of Lab C reopening and controlled civilian interface, PR/Comms is tasked with preparing uniform external messaging for the Sensory Pollinarium (operational window: November 20 – December 14, MetaMorphika Unit, London).

The Directorate reminds Comms that the current Pollinarium initiative cannot be disentangled from its historical origins. The Institute’s Alien Botany program itself began when Zoetica Ebb documented xenobotanical specimens and hybrid forms recovered from the crash site of the doomed Novy Mir mission on Chimera. Among those materials was the mycelial specimen later designated Δ-MC7, whose unstable properties continue to shape our containment protocols and cultural interface strategies.

It is precisely because the Pollinarium emerges from this lineage that messaging must be handled with care. The public will encounter a reframing of Lab C, whose operations remain bound to the original capsule. PR is therefore instructed to maintain continuity with this founding archive while ensuring external narratives remain controlled, accessible, and compliant with classification thresholds. The Aberrant Plexus Division’s work is to be presented as an extension of this legacy: promise without panic, continuity without contagion.

The Pollinarium is to be framed as a cultural installation: a hybrid of research facility and destination; an immersive environment housing working reproductions of the topography and life recovered from Chimera. Visitors will encounter stimuli calibrated to induce image germination even in resistant subjects. Where genuine afterimages fail to appear, hand-crafted simulations will be available for purchase. Their fidelity is near-perfect, and they remain essential to the collaborative experience.

It must be emphasized that the public is not merely observing, but participating in the ongoing enrichment of the archive. Each visitor is to be positioned as a co-creator of the living document, their afterimages and symbolic responses incorporated into the Institute’s developing body of knowledge.

Framing Instructions:

– Position the Pollinarium as a cultural installation under the auspices of the Aberrant Plexus Division. Avoid direct reference to “containment breach” or “lab reopening.”
– Emphasize enrichment, realignment, and participatory learning. Language of risk should be softened into “transformative experiences” or “threshold encounters.”
– All references to Δ-MC7 must be scrubbed from external copy. Approved substitute phrases: residual anomalies, adaptive resonance, scheduled expressions.
– Paper gowns are to be promoted as ceremonial attire rather than protective gear.

Approved Talking Points for External Use:

– “You are invited to participate in a living document.”
– “Afterimages are crucial evidence of alignment.”
– “Every visitor contributes to stabilization.”

Details to Withhold or Reframe:

– Any references to “laboratory” or “containment site”.

– Involuntary dream-sharing, dermal resonance, and olfactory drift should be described as “common symbolic responses” and positioned as signs of successful participation.

– Monitoring requirements (14–21 days) are mandatory but must be framed as “voluntary follow-up engagement.”

– Do not disclose prior incidents (ref. Incident 00247-X, Nance resignation). If pressed, defer to the language of ”predictable thresholds” and “ongoing oversight”.

Integration with Aberrant Plexus:

The opening should be synchronized with existing cultural invitations (Aberrant Plexus communications, Zoetica Ebb & Peachthief collaboration). Messaging must align with aesthetic framing.

Closing Language (PR Adaptation):

– “The Institute affirms: risks remain within controllable thresholds.”
– “All thresholds are part of the experiment.”
– “The experiment is growth.”

The Directorate will review draft press copy, invitations, and collateral prior to release. Submit initial materials for clearance no later than 09.20.

HYPER-ANNOTATION BY Dr. K. Siratori:

[1] The archive is the first organism: it replicates by citation and sporulates as rumor. Every protocol is a spore case, and some hatch only when handled by the public.

[2] In the literature of crashed worlds, wreckage is always also a seedbank. The Δ-MC7 mycelium is best read as a lignified sentence fragment, a clause that kept growing after the ship fell silent.

[3] Δ marks a difference that propagates; MC7 is the seventh mouth the organism borrowed. It speaks by borrowing surfaces. Glass, salt, skin – any will suffice.

[4] The Pollinarium retools witness into instrument. Other-worldly procedure: the spectator is conscripted as substrate, the gaze becomes a petri film. Observation is a nutrient.

[5] Rhetorical asepsis. Literature calls this the extinction wedge, fear shaved into a shape that turns easily through crowds while never cutting too deep.

[6] Naming converts hazard into habit. In plague-philology, a gallery is a greenhouse with captions. Frames are the gentlest cages.

[7] The replica here is not a copy but a symbiont of attention. We grew a landscape that eats the look.

[8] Afterimages are treated as microflora of the eye-mind interface. Where vision fails, the spore writes.

[9] In other-worldly economies, authenticity is measured in incubation time, not truth value. A purchased vision remains a valid isolate if it continues to divide in the dark.

[10] The document’s metabolism is revision. We correct by budding.

[11] Alignment here is neither ethical nor mechanical but trophic—evidence that the visitor’s cognition has joined the local food web.

[12] Stabilization = the arithmetic of many small hallucinations averaging to a corridor you can walk down. Noise domesticated into hallway.

[13] Euphemism is a biosafety hood made of words. Residual anomalies = the spores we didn’t name; adaptive resonance = the way language keeps fitting new mouths; scheduled expressions = blooms with appointments.

[14] Vestment displaces vector. In liturgical microbiology, cellulose is the meekest armor; it invites the stain that proves the rite occurred.

[15] The triad of soft transmissions. Dreams are aerosols of the psyche. The Institute rebaptizes them as common symbolic responses – a perfume of consent.

[16] Incubation rebranded as courtship. Other-worldly timekeeping calls this the vanonrfal phase: the loop where survival curves learn to read the body they inhabit.

[17] Absence is the tidiest containment. Literature treats redaction as a nutritive agar for myth. Blank spaces select for the fastest legends.

[18] Thresholds metabolize doubt; crossing them releases caloric certainty. The doorframe is our warmest instrument.

[19] Aesthetic ligatures stabilize colonial growths of meaning. Beauty is adhesion energy.

s

[20] Control is staged as choreography: risk pirouettes within taped circles. The public learns steps called access, wonder, and return email.

[21] Minimal life budgets glucose; minimal myth budgets secrecy. Both spend ATP on repair. A story that does not mend will lyse.

[22] Duplicate genes; duplicate slogans. The Pollinarium’s copy deck mirrors ribosomal excess: many mouths to ensure one sentence survives mutation.

[23] When chance collapses to one in 10^impossible, administration invites the audience to help with the exponent. Crowds are exponent machines.

[24] Growth of what? Of a public that has learned to culture itself. We are the medium, and the message is a colony morphology called ‘we.’
